Chief Executive Officer


Innovation Boulevard is an agile partnership of organizations within the health, business, higher education, and government sectors creating new health technologies to improve peoples’ lives. We believe that through partnership, entrepreneurship, and new technology we can develop solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in the health care system. Our vision is to improve health outcomes, implement intelligent solutions, attract talented clinicians and researchers, and grow companies in the health care technology and services sectors.

Innovation Boulevard is looking for an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide leadership in all strategic and business aspects of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for delivering the organization’s mission, developing strategy, and executing plans. The incumbent liaises – and builds relationships – with a network of researchers, entrepreneurs, business leaders, early stage investment funds and investors, industry representatives, industry associations, and community groups and institutions across British Columbia, in Canada, and internationally.


The CEO directs all planning, development, and maintenance of innovation, commercialization, and acceleration partnerships, initiatives, and programs including those related to the BC Innovation Council, federal NRC IRAP, and others. The CEO manages the Innovation Hub, our 10,000 square foot office facility where like-minded entrepreneurs and innovators collaborate. The CEO seeks out funding and sponsorship, attracts clients, and creates a sustainable infrastructure in support of the mission of Innovation Boulevard.

We seek an accomplished CEO to provide leadership in strategic planning, identifying risks, opportunities, and options; to foster an open and collegial approach to decision making; to represent the organization to external stakeholders at various levels within health, business, higher education, and government communities. We need the incumbent to: offer responsible stewardship over organization resources; communicate financial information, plans, and options to facilitate informed decision making; and ensure reliable systems and safeguards are in place to provide integrity in financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader in the business, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, technology, or innovation sectors, who brings:

  • an entrepreneurial mindset, exemplary leadership, strategic and organizational skills
  • knowledge of governance, finance, and performance management principles
  • demonstrated credibility with commercialization
  • excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • relevant Master or Doctoral degrees
