THE CATALYST FOR HEALTH TECH

Alison Berg

Director of Marketing

Alison Berg has 20 years of strategic marketing and communications experience, having worked for early-stage innovators in big data, telecommunications, IP services, and high-performance computing. She’s played a change agent role in several of BC’s most innovative start-up technology companies (including Abatis and OctigaBay Systems) as they transitioned from small 5-person shops to over 100-person companies purchased in some of Canada’s largest acquisitions. Alison has co-founded a supercomputing startup and a successful e-commerce business; she has worked for several municipal governments in labour and employee relations, and has consulted with numerous organizations on marketing, business development, and HR issues. She holds an MBA in Marketing, a BA in English, and an HR certificate. Alison is currently the president of Soroptimist International of the TriCities, an international service organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls. She is also an EIR at Innovation Boulevard, helping early-stage companies determining their market and people strategies.  She emcees and speaks at public events, and is an active community volunteer. She loves chocolate, wine, Netflix, and her kids (almost always in that order.)
